Samsung Electronics has launched the T7 and T9 microSD cards, anchoring a complete restructuring of its removable storage lineup. The new models replace the company’s previous EVO Plus, PRO Plus, and PRO Ultimate tiers with a simplified branding system designed to help users quickly identify the right card for their hardware requirements.
Under the new naming convention, the “T” series signifies “Trustworthiness,” while the “P” line (including the new P9 Express) stands for “Peace of Mind”.
Samsung T7
The T7 microSD card is positioned for daily device users, light gamers, and intermediate creators expanding storage across smartphones, tablets, laptops, and handheld consoles.
- Capacities: Available in 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB options.
- Performance: Delivers sequential read speeds up to 170 MB/s via a UHS-I interface.
- Pricing: ₱3,143 (128 GB), ₱5,010 (256 GB), ₱9,920 (512 GB), and ₱19,841 (1 TB).
Samsung T9
The T9 microSD card targets professional creators, gaming enthusiasts, and performance-driven hardware like drones and action cameras. It features “6-proof” protection for environmental reliability during heavy workloads.
- Capacities: Available in 12 8GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB options.
- Performance: Offers sequential read speeds up to 200 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 130 MB/s.
- Pricing: ₱3,929 (128 GB), ₱6,188 (256 GB), and ₱12,475 (512 GB).
Both series share a standardized microSDXC form factor and are rated at Speed Class U3, V30, A2, and Class 10, and include a limited 3-year warranty.
Retail Availability
The T7 and T9 cards launched on May 5, 2026, on Samsung’s official Shopee and Lazada platforms. Customers purchasing a T9 card receive a free exclusive blindbox while stocks last.
