TEAMGROUP introduced a new layer of security for portable data with the launch of the T-CREATE EXPERT P34F, the world’s first external solid-state drive (SSD) with built-in support for Apple’s Find My network.
The new drive is designed to address the common problem of misplaced portable storage. It integrates directly with the Find My app on iPhones, iPads, and Macs, allowing users to pinpoint the SSD’s last known location on a map. To find the drive nearby, the EXPERT P34F is equipped with a built-in speaker that can emit an audible alert, helping to locate it when it’s out of sight but within a 40-meter range.
This location-tracking capability, which is powered by Team Group’s patented technology, requires no additional accessories and pairs seamlessly within the Apple ecosystem.
Beyond its tracking features, the EXPERT P34F is built for portability and performance. Housed in a premium chassis made of 73% zinc alloy, the device weighs only 70 grams and is more compact than a standard credit card. It features a USB 3.2 Gen2x1 Type-C interface, ensuring broad compatibility not only with Apple products but also with Windows and Thunderbolt-equipped devices.
Team Group is backing the device with a three-year warranty for the drive and a one-year warranty for the included USB-C cable. In a nod to corporate social responsibility, the company also confirmed the product will ship in FSC-certified, eco-friendly packaging to reduce electronic waste.
