ASUS has officially announced a new collaboration with cooling specialist Noctua, unveiling the ASUS GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition graphics card. This new GPU is engineered for gamers and content creators who demand top-tier performance without the distracting fan noise, promising to be the quietest card in its class.
The GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition is the fifth graphics card to emerge from the partnership between the two companies. It marks a significant evolution in their joint efforts, being the first to feature a triple-fan cooling solution. The card is equipped with three of Noctua’s next-generation NF-A12x25 G2 120 mm fans, renowned for their exceptional performance-to-noise ratio.
This advanced cooling system is paired with a custom-designed heatsink that incorporates a large vapor chamber and a total of eleven heatpipes (seven 8 mm and four 6 mm). This robust thermal solution ensures that the powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU operates at optimal temperatures while maintaining near-silent operation, even under heavy loads.

Roland Mossig, Noctua CEO, added, “While we’ve constantly set new benchmarks for performance-to-noise efficiency with each of the previous ASUS x Noctua GPUs, the GeForce RTX 5080 offers the biggest generational leap yet.”
Under the hood, the card boasts a default clock speed of 2700 MHz and is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, delivering the high-end performance expected from an RTX 5080. It also features ASUS’s 0dB technology, which allows the fans to stop completely during low-load situations for a completely silent experience. A dual BIOS switch allows users to easily choose between a “Quiet” and “Performance” mode.
Aesthetically, the card sports the signature Noctua brown and beige color scheme, making it a distinctive choice for custom PC builds. ASUS recommends a power supply of at least 850 watts for this graphics card.
