During Computex, GIGABYTE has shown its AORUS XTREME ICE products consisting of the AORUS XTREME ICE Z790 motherboard and the RTX 4080 Super AORUS XTREME ICE graphics card.
Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE
The GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS XTREME X ICE motherboard is a high-end motherboard designed for gamers and enthusiasts. It features a striking design with a titanium crystallization finish and unique 99% gold serial number.
Key specs include support for Intel 14th Gen processors, DDR5 memory up to 8266 MT/s, multiple M.2 slots for fast storage and angled ports for power and connectivity. This is an extremely clean motherboard appropriate for white themed builds. And no, it does not come in black.
Now the board comes with advanced cooling solutions for both the VRM and storage under its frosted like design. It has DIY-friendly features too like EZ-Latch for easy installation, and extensive connectivity options including Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 4.
In my own words, I’d consider the board a luxury not just because of the design, but due to its price as well – sitting at $2,000 USD. If you want something similar for less, could wait a bit, and requires 100% compatibility with the next generation Intel processors, then maybe the upcoming Arrow Lake motherboards are for you.
GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER XTREME ICE 16G
The AORUS GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER XTREME ICE 16G is a top-of-the-line graphics card designed for serious gamers and creators. It features the powerful NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture and 16 GB of GDDR6X memory, on top of its excellent cooling with its unique “ICE” technology. This ensures high performance and efficient heat management. Make sure to properly mount it though, as it is one of the heaviest graphics cards that I have held so far.
As usual, it also includes customizable RGB lighting, multiple display outputs, and advanced overclocking capabilities.
Both products are already available in the market right now but since the motherboard is a limited edition model, you have to ask your country’s GIGABYTE representative if there is at least one in stock.
