LIAN LI Unveils B4-mATX DAN Cases Collaboration

LIAN LI and DAN Cases launches the B4-mATX dual-orientation capable case.

LIAN LI and DAN Cases have introduced the B4-mATX, a 21.3-liter small form factor (SFF) chassis designed to house Micro-ATX motherboards and full-sized hardware within a flexible, rotatable footprint. Starting at $69.99, the enclosure operates either horizontally as a desktop unit or vertically as a tower, with the vertical configuration reducing desk space usage by 30%.

Dual-Orientation Mechanics and Design

To support its 90-degree rotational design without complicating cable management, the B4-mATX integrates specific hardware routing features:

  • Rotatable AC Inlet: Adjusts to face outward for easy access or inward to conceal excess power cable length inside the frame.
  • Swiveling Cable Bracket: Positioned below the four PCIe slots, this bracket routes rear I/O and power cables flush against the case, providing up to 52 mm of connector clearance in vertical mode.
  • Front Panel Variations: Users can choose between perforated mesh for direct airflow or real wood panels (walnut or beech) for a furniture-like aesthetic. Both configurations are available in black or white.

Component Compatibility and Cooling Trade-offs

Internal clearance and cooling capacity depend directly on the chosen power supply form factor:

  • With an SFX PSU: The chassis supports side-mounted liquid cooling radiators up to 360 mm.
  • With an ATX PSU (Max 140 mm): Side radiator support drops to a maximum of 240 mm.

For air cooling, the case clears CPU coolers up to 162 mm tall, which extends to 168 mm if the side fan bracket is removed. It accommodates graphics cards up to 358 mm in length and includes a pre-installed, vertically adjustable anti-sag bracket designed to support heavy GPUs without blocking their fans.

The chassis ships with two 120 mm slim, non-RGB exhaust fans mounted on a removable top bracket. Airflow configuration can be modified via a reversible rear fan bracket that swings inward to feed tower air coolers or outward to clear space for side-mounted All-in-One (AIO) liquid cooling setups. Internal storage options consist of one front-mounted 2.5-inch SSD slot and a bottom mount accommodating either a single 3.5-inch HDD or a 2.5-inch SSD.

Pricing and Specifications

Model Color / Finish MSRP
B4-mATX Mesh Black $69.99 / €69.99
B4-mATX Mesh White $74.99 / €74.99
B4-mATX Wood Black (Walnut/Beech) $84.99 / €84.99
B4-mATX Wood White (Walnut/Beech) $89.99 / €89.99
Vertical AeroDeck Black or White $29.99 / €29.99

Optional Vertical AeroDeck Accessory

For vertical configurations targeting higher thermal performance, the optional B4-mATX Vertical AeroDeck ($29.99) expands cooling capacity. The module adds an explicit airflow path to the GPU, supporting up to three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans behind tempered glass side panels. It includes a magnetic PVC dust filter and utilizes the same matching wood trim options (walnut or beech) in black or white.
